Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our members receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Duties:
- Transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to member' tables quickly and accurately.
- Ensure proper table numbers, seat numbers, and courses are delivered in the correct order.
- Support waitstaff by helping with large trays and replenishing bread, water, or condiments.
- Clear plates and cups from server station and tables if needed
- Double-check orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy and presentation standards.
- Communicate with kitchen staff if an order is missing or incorrect.
- Answer basic guest questions when delivering food (ingredients, who ordered what, etc.).
- Alert servers or managers if a guest has a concern or special request.
- Keep expo line, service stations, and tray stands neat and stocked.
- Assist in polishing silverware, stocking supplies, and maintaining a tidy dining environment.
- Work closely with servers, bartenders, bussers, and kitchen staff to keep service flowing smoothly.
- Communicate timing updates to ensure courses are delivered efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good memory for table numbers and orders.
- Professional, positive, and guest-focused demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays or plates weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement between kitchen and dining areas.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
