Poolside Server
Tampa Yacht & Country Club is a 122-year-old private club serving 1,450 families. As a founding member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, the Club is recognized as one of the nation’s premiere yacht clubs & has enjoyed the prestigious “Platinum Clubs of America” status since 2003. The Club’s membership is comprised of Tampa’s social & business leaders. Club facilities include a 21 thousand square-foot Clubhouse with formal & informal dining rooms, an elegant ballroom & two private party rooms.
Adjacent to the Clubhouse is a poolside Snack Bar Pavilion, an Olympic Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, a Pro Shop, Fitness/Aerobics Center & Locker Rooms. In addition to the Clubhouse, there is also an Equestrian Center and a 100 slip Marina. The club sits on Hillsborough Bay offering exceptional views. Historically, the Club is known among the area’s clubs, high-end restaurants & resorts for its exceptional food and service.

We are looking for knowledgeable, experienced & positive servers to join our growing food & beverage team. This opportunity requires previous experience as a server in an upscale food & beverage operation.
Job Summary:
To provide food & beverage service to all members & guests, while also creating & providing excellent & memorable member experiences.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing all members with exceptional dining experience
- Thorough knowledge & memorization of menus (Lunch, Dinner, Alcohol, Specials etc.)
- Ability to work cohesively with team members
- Utilization of proper food handling & service techniques
- Performing all side work duties before & after shift
- Building rapport & relationships with all members with the ability to greet them by name
- Proactively suggesting & upselling for both food & beverage
- Ensuring satisfaction from the moment a member steps through the door
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Dealing with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years’ Fine Dining or Upscale Dining preferred
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
- High school diploma is a plus but not required
- Country Club experience is preferred but not required
- Wine, Beer & Alcohol knowledge is necessary
- Ability to remain organized & professional in all situations
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
