Summary
West Palm Cowboy Club, opening soon on Clematis Street, is hiring hosts and hostesses to join our opening team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in guest-facing environments, enjoy creating warm first impressions, and can stay organized and upbeat during high-volume service and late-night crowds.
Experience in busy restaurants or nightlife venues, strong communication skills, and comfort managing guest flow are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet every guest quickly and warmly, setting the tone for an upbeat Cowboy Club experience from the moment they walk in.
- Manage the waitlist, reservations, and seating using Toast or TripleSeat tools (training provided).
- Communicate quoted wait times accurately and consistently, updating guests as needed.
- Maintain the host stand, menus, and entry area to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate smoothly with servers, bartenders, and management to maintain balanced sections and efficient seating flow.
- Guide guests through the venue, highlight features like live music areas or late-night bar vibes, and answer basic menu and experience questions.
- Assist with controlling the door during peak hours, monitoring capacity, ID checks (if assigned), and guest flow into the building.
- Support guest experience by helping with birthdays, special occasions, or large group arrivals.
- Help maintain the energetic, fun, and hospitality-driven atmosphere WPCC is known for.
Upselling & Guest Experience
- Promote specials, cocktail highlights, or upcoming events as guests arrive.
- Build friendly rapport and make each guest feel welcomed and appreciated.
- Assist in resolving guest concerns by connecting them with management when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous hosting or front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a genuinely warm, outgoing personality.
- Ability to multitask, stay composed, and manage guest flow during busy hours and late-night crowds.
- Works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Basic understanding of seating systems, reservations, and floor plans (training provided).
- Reliable transportation and availability.
