Position Overview
The Governors Club, a premier private golf club in Brentwood, TN, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of all golf course maintenance equipment. This position is integral to daily operations and works closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on predominantly Toro turf equipment
- Set up, adjust, and maintain reel and rotary mowing equipment
- Maintain accurate service logs and preventative maintenance schedules
- Communicate daily with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents regarding equipment condition
- Manage parts inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant maintenance facility
- Assist in training staff on proper equipment operation and care
- Participate in long-term equipment planning and replacement strategies
- Manage assistant equipment manager’s daily assignments
Requirements
- 3–5+ years experience as a golf course equipment technician or equipment manager
- Strong working knowledge of gas, diesel, electric, and hydraulic systems
- Experience working with Toro equipment strongly preferred
- Reel grinding and mower setup experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skillsValid driver’s license required
