Wilderness Country Club, a private 18-hole golf community located in beautiful Naples, Florida, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to help lead our experienced maintenance team. Our course features Paspalum fairways and Tif-Eagle greens , with a complete renovation planned for 2028 , offering a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Golf Course Superintendent in daily operations and long-term planning

Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, ensuring high standards of course conditioning

Communicate clearly and professionally with both staff and club members

Identify course needs and provide attention to detail in all aspects of turf care

Assist with scheduling, irrigation management, and application of fertilizers and plant protectants

Lead by example with a hands-on, proactive approach
Qualifications:

A self-starter with a strong work ethic and keen eye for detail

Prior experience in golf course maintenance preferred

Strong communication and leadership skills
Florida Pesticides license within 90 days
2 or 4 year Degree or Turf Certificate
Understanding of Golf and course set up
2 to 4 years of course management experience
Problem solving and organizational skills are necessary
