We’re opening a new fine dining restaurant on beautiful North Captiva Island, a hidden barrier island known for its pristine beaches, golf cart paths, unforgettable sunsets, and laid-back coastal luxury. Accessible only by boat or small aircraft, North Captiva offers a one-of-a-kind lifestyle for hospitality professionals who want more than just another restaurant job.
We are seeking hardworking, energetic, hospitality-driven Food Runners to join our opening team and help deliver an exceptional dining experience in an upscale island setting.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally
- Ensure all dishes are presented correctly and meet restaurant standards before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Assist servers with table maintenance, guest needs, and service support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
- Help facilitate smooth and efficient service during high-volume periods
- Learn menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently support guest experiences
- Work closely with kitchen, bar, and service teams to ensure seamless operations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous food runner, server assistant, or restaurant experience preferred
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Ability to carry multiple plates and navigate a busy dining room safely and efficiently
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Willingness to learn fine dining service standards and menu knowledge
- Ability to adapt to island living and seasonal business flow
