We are seeking a dedicated and personable Server to join our dynamic food service team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained during service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via OpenTable or other POS systems.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Address guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to deliver seamless service experiences.
- Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations and guest flow.
Experience
- must be 18+ years of age
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Strong background in customer service, guest relations, and hospitality principles.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food preparation, serving techniques, and basic math skills for cash handling.
- Experience working in nightlife settings such as nightclubs is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively in busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven ability to upsell menu items and enhance guest experiences through excellent service.
