With a future goal of ranking among the “Top 5 Public Golf Courses” in Utah, Wolf Creek is investing heavily in a new state-of-the-art irrigation system and making comprehensive upgrades to the golf course and pro shop.

The Superintendent will work full-time onsite, overseeing the golf course (approx. March – first of November) and managing snow removal as needed during the winter months. Equipment maintenance and repair will be completed during the off-season. Our Superintendent is responsible for coordinating with the installation team of the new irrigation system and the construction of improved fairways, greens, tee boxes, and range.
This is an opportunity to influence change and overhaul a golf course that was established in 1963.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a tenured maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with the GM and irrigation company on the installation of irrigation system.
- Consistent and proactive collaboration with Pro and Pro Shop employees.
- Ensure course is tournament ready.
- Repair and maintenance of the irrigation system.
- Improve and maintain the health of fairways and greens.
- Apply and oversee application of fertilization and turf health procedures.
- Pump station repair and maintenance.
- Manage snow removal in parking areas and walkways.
- Be respectful to guests and team members.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Horticulture, Turf Grass Management, Agronomy - Preferred
- Certification from Golf Course Superintendents of America (GCSAA) - Preferred
- HS Diploma - Required
- 2-4 Years experience as an Assistant Superintendent and/or Irrigation Technician.
- Deep knowledge of golf and playability of golf courses.
- Preferred experience working at a “mountain course”, a course at altitude and/or wintery climates.
- Knowledge of mower operations, spreaders, tractors, and heavy machinery.
- Extensive experience with irrigation repair, pump station repair, and fertilization application.
- Ability to create staff schedule and effectively manage seasonal staff.
- Inventory management
- Construction or excavation experience is a plus.
- Professional approach to guest service.
- Resourceful problem solving with creative solutions.
- Perform extensive manual labor and the capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends including holidays as needed.
