About Us: The Savannah Yacht Club is a private, family-oriented club located on the Wilmington River on Whitemarsh Island, in Savannah Georgia. We are dedicated to member satisfaction through superior service and quality facilities.
Summary: Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests at banquets, pool, and a la carte service.
Job Duties:
- Greet and acknowledge members and their guests.
- Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, and offers suggestions on daily specials and wine selections.
- Places orders with kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
- Help set up and tear down dining room.
- Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
- Serves meals, places dishes by courses in front of each person.
- Presents the bill; verifying accuracy of prices, taxes, and other charges.
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, balance, stoop, kneel, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
- $15 per hour base rate with service charge added (range between $4- $9 per hour additionally) NO additional tipping
- Up to 30 hours per week
- Meal provided
