Position Summary
The Part-Time Server plays a vital role in delivering a refined, welcoming, and consistent dining experience across Vinarosa Resort’s restaurants, bars, lounges, and event venues. This position is responsible for executing service standards with precision while creating personalized, guest-focused moments that reflect the resort’s luxury positioning. Part-Time Servers are expected to possess strong menu and beverage knowledge, ensuring accurate recommendations and confident upselling that enhance both guest satisfaction and overall revenue performance. The role requires close collaboration with culinary, bar, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service flow and timely execution. Attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail is essential to maintaining brand standards and guest trust. The Part-Time Server supports service recovery efforts by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Through consistency, professionalism, and teamwork, this role directly contributes to guest loyalty, operational efficiency, and the financial success of the Food & Beverage operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional, and attentive service to all guests in accordance with luxury hotel standards
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and cocktail offerings, including ingredients and preparation
- Accurately take and enter guest orders using the property POS system
- Deliver food and beverages with correct timing, presentation, and service etiquette
- Monitor service pacing to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience
- Execute upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase check averages
- Maintain clean, organized tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout service
- Follow proper cash handling, credit card processing, and tip reporting procedures
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify guest identification as required
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties including mise en place and breakdown
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and support teams to ensure service accuracy
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, escalating when appropriate
- Support banquet and event service as needed based on business demands

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hotel service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings preferred
- Comfort using POS systems and handling transactions accurately
- Commitment to service excellence and guest satisfaction
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, carrying service trays, and performing repetitive motions associated with food and beverage service. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Work Environment Statement
The work environment includes indoor and outdoor restaurant, bar, and event spaces within a luxury resort setting. Employees may be exposed to varying noise levels, temperatures, and guest volumes.
