Tucked away on a quiet parcel of land in the North End of the city, Fall River Country Club is a timeless New England private golf club. Established in 1895, our golfing members and guests traverse a historic and scenic layout, following in the footsteps of golf legends Harry Vardon, Francis Ouimet, Bobby Jones and many more. Situated along the banks of the Taunton River, the club boasts water views on 17 of 18 holes, along with beautiful vistas from our full service Clubhouse.
Responsibilities Explained:
Oversee and manage the maintenance shop operation
Maintain the entire equipment fleet, including cutting units, vehicles and heavy equipment
Develop and implement scheduled preventative maintenance and repair programs
Perform daily mower setup and adjustments
Order and purchase parts, tools, and supplies
Organize and maintain inventory
Track and manage all repair and maintenance activities
Maintain a clean and safe shop in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
Occasionally assist in training Greens staff on safe and proper operation of equipment
Attend continuing education and training as needed
Early morning hours, flexible schedule; Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work on feet for extended periods. Exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, etc) and occasional on course maintenance or emergency repair work may be needed
Experience Desired:
Previous experience working with golf course/landscaping related equipment preferred
Self starter, a positive attitude, ability to work in a team oriented environment
Knowledge in hydraulic, gas, diesel, and small engine systems
Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures accurately and efficiently
Skills in fabrication and welding highly preferred
Experience operating heavy equipment safely, and operation of golf course and landscaping specific equipment preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Valid drivers license required
