Old Overton Club is seeking a skilled and energetic Equipment Manager to run our Golf Equipment Maintenance Department.
The manager will work closely with the Director of Golf Maintenance and the Golf course superintendent, as well as interact daily with the maintenance staff.
Old Overton Club is a private, upscale club that underwent a renovation in 2020, and strives to give the members exceptional conditioning to provide a first class experience. The course was designed by Tom Fazio/Jerry Pate in 1992 and won "Best New Private Course" in 1994. Old Overton features TifEagle greens, TifGrand tees, and 419 bermuda fairways and roughs routed through the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains.
The Equipment Manager is a key position that supports the golf maintenance staff by providing reliable, safe, and precise equipment to allow them the ability to give excellent conditions. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, repair and preventative maintenance of all golf course equipment as well as shop organization and cleanliness, parts inventory, maintenance facility inspection, fuel ordering, and general shop safety. The candidate must have effective communication skills and have a positive attitude.

Requirements:
Five years experience as a Golf Course Technician.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
Ability to do physical work including kneeling, bending and lifting #50.
Knowledge of reel maintenance and set-up and the ability to adjust to turf conditions for quality of cut.
Computer skills for record keeping via Toro MyTurf.
Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines as well as hydraulic systems, transmissions, clutches, cooling systems and electrical systems.
The ability to weld and do light fabrication.
Must be available for early mornings, occasional weekends, and tournament preparation.
Must have a valid driver's license.
